In 1991, Ron Allen and Hayden Andre formed legendary dance music label Strobe Records that was instrumental in developing the house and techno genres in the early 90's.

Landing this summer is a fantastic body of work from talented Irishman, Tr One, and quite notably the inaugural release on his own "Intrinsic Rhythm" label. His debut album "From The Studio Of" is a masterpiece that maneuvers between innovative strains of deep house, spaced out electro, and discerning mellow techno; the studio album spans across fourteen tracks including an acid tinged remix from, Cignol, and some stellar input from, Mihail P. Continuously inspired by the greats, and drawing influence from an array of sounds of the past whether that be, Chicago, Detroit and beyond, Tr One has now found himself with a cohesive series of tracks that speaks with power and creativity, and will see the light of day on both 2 x seperate 12" EP's and digital.
The first EP cruises into "Pitchshift" a deep, and melodic Detroit beatdown influenced trip featuring the vocals of Elaine Dowling. "Turning Point" drifts you up a notch, emotional synths breathe life into the crisp drum arrangements, but never getting carried away. The intelligently constructed "I'm Dreaming Again" sways gently in the realms of the after hours, hypnotic and captivating sounds from the Carlow based producer. Maintaining the enigmatic mood is "Stay Offline" a distinctive bassline drives the track allowing the other elements to converse peacefully. Cignol's remix of "Turning Point" brings a new acid dynamic to the album, squelchy lines bounce around tidy drum work.

longed-for debut album "Heartware" is a 12-track voyage across 25 years of intense synth collecting, fiddling,
composing and endless loving for audio synthesis and the art of how robots make human bodies jack.
Throughout the twelve cuts that compose "Heartware", a feeling of retro-gazing, candidly playful glee
prevails. Looking right in the eye of the era when dazzling flipper visuals and static-filled VHS glitches
reigned supreme, Italo Brutalo invites us to witness first-hand his own textbook smorgasbord of fast-wheeling
arpeggios and vocodized hoodoo ("Heartware", "Reach Horizon"), dystopian digital sunsets by the beach ("I
Feel Lonely"), early hip-hop-informed whackin' n' thumpin' ("Analog Bars") and the slo but hard churn of a
robot heist score ("Nobody Moves").
A lush tapestry of woozy exotic pads set in contrast with a deft and aggro drum programming ("As Above So
Below"), followed by a new-beat oriented hammer-drop that shall leave no raver unscathed ("Heat of the
Knight"), Italo Brutalo shifts the scope to radical effect whilst maintaining that cohesive headspace flush with
the iconic 80s-to-90s-sourced assets. The hardware used in the making of "Heartware" is obviously the star
here, and the inner sleeve pays tribute to that: the ideas behind the album have been there waiting to find
their way out for over twenty years!
From adrenalin-boosting fractals of keyboard razzle-dazzle ("Chemical Element") to straight out pumping
EBM primed for hi-octane mosh pits down the basement ("You Are Welcome"), via polyrhytmic percs-driven
assaults and sizzling hot synth-smithery ("Into a Sampler"), the pressure levels never falter. Yet, Italo Brutalo
sure knows how to weave further oneiric, softer narratives for your mind to frolic in unhindered ("Dream
Machine") and rounds it all off with a total, space-opera'esque epic bound to have you spinning out of orbit
into the great unknown ("Eternia").
"Heartware" is released in a neat double-vinyl gatefold package presenting the concept and machines

CONCEPT OF MAN - Regularities
Concept Of Man is Martin Knorz - Berlin based keyboarder, producer and DJ.
A studied jazz pianist, Knorz is known for playing keys in the highly acclaimed, german experimental pop band Hope, with whom he's been touring around Europe and UK over the past couple of years, as well as forming the sound of Austrian pop icon Teresa Rotschopf's solo debut „Messiah".
In 2019 he started devoting himself to modular sound-synthesis, playing live shows and remixing acts as Hellotrip (Mutant Rebuilds) and Hara Crash (Bali).
His debut "Regularities" will be released on Patrick Pulsinger's Big Beak Recordings in 2022. It's a modular infused tape majestically crafted by a sound surgeon. Drawing inspiration from Robag Wruhme, James Holden and Patrick Pulsinger (with whom he has collaborated on his album Impassive Skies and the EP Nocturnal Cat), „Regularities" consists of four minimal tracks and a durational modularsynth-only-performance, both of which feed the realm of sound caviar. Tribal rhythms join the darkness of modular sounds, regular beats oscillate on irregular impulses, while intriguing basslines and uplifting chords remind us that Knorz is first and foremost a pianist, a master of melody.
Wooden but soft percussive chords create a tribal rhythm that carries through the song, interrupted by a contrapuntal rhythm. Another drum group provocatively steps in the arena, together they build a rolling total. Then a „squelching", juicy, nearly acid melody grounds the track, to be drummed out by the two groups when approaching the end.

"Kids At Play" is convincing for "Altered States" again as another lesson in an extremely elegant design of exciting electronic aspects from life "on the cutting edge behalf House and Techno." Like with his legendary warehouse classic from 1990 Trent moves again at this point in 2011 off a harmonically dominated terrain on Prescription sound philosophy, to which many of his die-hard fans may focus him otherwise only. Anyone who has seen Trent since its KMS interlude with Chez Damier and his collaboration with Berlin's Maurizio duo [Mark Ernestus & Moritz von Oswald] as a real producer and not only as incarnate 4-Four-house machinery recognizes and loves the other side of his genius and his techno-affinity immediately. This is oriented so on the rawness of the early Chicago House with the initial spark of Farley Jackmaster Funk or Adonis, as well as the fusion potential of Herbie Hancock and performs as an educational base for the forthcoming album "Raw Footage" to an expression of open creative style that extends beyond the normal limits of the genre far beyond otherwise binding. "Kids At Play" touches in a whole both morning wee-wee-hours as well as ecstatic, night club moments, before Trent defines the trackwerk as unusual blueprint for new stringent forms of the House, where this vinyl will also demand his most impressive moment experiences. In Trent's body of work, the track comes ahead of many recordings in recent years on the highest level, mainly because it the dimension of predictability with that of unpredictability in the sense of "more energy and power" exchanges and at the end of an exhibit defines what probably most of today's house conaisseures with an open mind demand as their own. We therefore recommend simply seat reservation on the dancefloor!
„Kids At Play" überzeugt dabei nach „Altered States" erneut als weitere Lehrstunde eines extrem eleganten Entwurfs zu aufregenden elektronischen Lebensaspekten "on the cutting edge behalf House and Techno". Wie bei seinem legendären Warehouse Klassiker aus 1990 bewegt sich Trent dabei erneut an dieser Stelle in 2011 (12 ?) abseits eines harmonisch geprägten Terrains an Prescription-Soundphilosophie, auf das ihn viele eingefleischte Fans sonst nur allzu gern allein fokussieren mögen.
Wer Trent seit seinem KMS-Intermezzo zusammen mit Chez Damier sowie seiner Zusammenarbeit mit Berlins Maurizio-Duo [Mark Ernestus & Moritz von Oswald] als realen Produzenten und nicht nur als fleischgewordene 4-Four-House-Maschinerie erlebt hat, erkennt und liebt die andere Seite seiner Techno affinen Genialität ebenso sofort. In Trents Gesamtwerk dürfte der Track damit weit vor vielen Einspielungen der letzten Jahre auf allerhöchstem Niveau rangieren, vor allem weil er die Dimension der Kalkulierbarkeit mit derjenigen der Unberechenbarkeit im Sinne von „more energy and power" austauscht und am Ende ein Exponat definiert, dass wahrscheinlich die meisten House-Conaisseure mit offenem Geist ihr Eigentum nennen wollen. Wir empfehlen daher schlicht Platzreservierung auf dem Dancefloor!

Next up on Greek label Lower Parts is a fierce EP from the one and only DJ Stingray, who serves up one of his strongest releases in a while and, at the same time, marks his comeback with a bang. Featuring a remix by Athens talent Kon001, who Stingray has been meaning to release for years and who got personally handpicked by him for this assignment, the EP's titles tell us of the Detroit man's interest in science, biology and evolution and covers plenty of musical styles.
Stingray has won plenty of acclaim with serious releases on labels like Naked Lunch, Bleep and Itinerant Dub. He wastes no time here in nailing down a nervy techno groove on 'Acetylcholine', with its hurried kicks, electro synths and slithering bass lines all racing along as you do the same. Dendrite is then a half time, lurching number with serious dub weight and serene synths that manages to be beautiful and brutal at the same time.
On the flip, 'eRbB4' is a slick, journeying bit of electro-techno with real soul and emotion in its bones, before kon001 does Stingray proud with a dynamic, spangled remix that is metallic and reflective, groovy and evocative. This is a killer release from Stingray and is yet another fine offering from Lower Parts.

Added on board the Chicago house production team Phuture, as a replacement for DJ Pierre, Roy Davis Jr. later followed his mentor to New York and worked at Strictly Rhythm, recording his own singles for Force Inc., Big Big Trax and Power Music. Originally born in California, Davis moved to Chicago's south side early in his childhood. After being turned on by legendary acid-house pioneers like Phuture and Lil' Louis, he became a DJ and began producing as well, with his first single, "20 Below," recorded for the Jack Trax label.
Roy describes the music that he makes as "soul electrica"; soul music mixed with electronics. His style has changed and grown up through the years as he has been going back to his spiritual roots in house music, away from the sound that he once was associated with - Phuture's "acid" and "wild pitch." The sound he is working on is expanding more on the soulful side combining an unmistakable deep funk sound of Chicago.

Info Milton Jackson:
Released his first EP aged 19 on Solemusic's Tronicsole imprint. Known for his dark, almost techno influenced deep house music. Milton Jackson tends to fuse straight driving beats with eclectic, techy production styles. His debut long player, 'The Bionic Boy' was received well by critics and the house fraternity and it spawned the Pepe Bradock influenced 'Sunlight'. After having mainly appeared on Glasgow labels such as Solemusic and Glasgow Underground, 2006 sees Milton spread his wings with EPs due out on Freerange, Silver Network, Urbantorque and Luke Sardello's Icon Recordings.
He has also recorded under a variety of pseudonyms, even venturing into the down-tempo domain as Napoleon Solo. His Bear Trax imprint released Mylo's first vinyl release when the pair recorded as 'The Pretty Boys'.

Axodry was founded in Frankfurt am Main in 1983 , the founding members were Talla 2XLC and RaHen aka Ralf Henrich. The first release Feel It Right was a success (see also Sound of Frankfurt ).
RaHen and Talla 2XLC composed and programmed the debut song in RaHen's home studio .
The Westside label made the final production possible in Axel Henninger's Dynaton Studio. There RaHen later produced the songs Surrender and The Time Is Right as well as many other songs and bands for Westside with Axel Henninger . At times Kurt Ader and Alexander Maurus were part of the band. The Music Hall concert in Frankfurt am Main took place in this line-up.
